iphoto originals somehow downsized??

Please help!

Something has gone astray with my photos.

After recently looking for a high res file to print, I relised half of my photos had been resized to 20 to 30k and I cant find the originals anywhere? I turned to my back up to find the same problem, so I have obviously baked up after this problem occured Therefore I am missing about 3 years of photos of my children and holidays etc.

I have tried rebuilding the library but dont really know what I am doing. I would really appreciate someones help on this

Re: iphoto originals somehow downsized??

Are you trying to find them in the library in finder? If so, DON'T! Find your photos in the app itself. If you want to revert to the actual original, then within the app, find the photo and in the menubar (can't say for sure, not at the mac right now), probably under "Photos", choose revert to original. Or you can duplicate the altered photo and then revert to original.

Don't be concerned with what you find in the finder, iPhoto takes care of itself. Do anything to/with your photos from the iPhoto app.

If all else fails, go into Pictures and right-click on iPhoto Library. Show Package Contents and look for the folder Originals. You should see your original pictures in the subfolders there. If not, you may be in trouble.
